Walter B. Haase, 89, formally of Georgetown died on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at his residence in Trumbull.  He was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 27, 1927 to Eleanor and Henry Haase.

Walter graduated from NYU after serving in the United States Navy, during World War II.  He was a production control manager at various companies throughout his career, retiring from Eaton Corp. in 1992.  He was a former American Legion Commander for the Wilton Post.  He enjoyed participating in the annual Wilton Memorial Day Parade for many years.

Walter was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Florence Haase.  He will be missed by his 4 children, Terrance Haase and his wife Janice of Danbury, CT, Donna Rutledge and her husband Nelson of Palm Coast, Florida, Travis Haase and his wife Bonnie of Boston, MA and Linda Becker and her husband Steve of Grand Blanc Michigan.  He will also be missed by his 6 grandchildren Christopher Haase and his wife Shannon, Laura (Haase) Warren and her husband Brian, Andrew Mentch, Allison (Mentch) Lumadue and her husband Joshua, Reed Becker and Elise Becker as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and Friends are welcome at Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church St., Georgetown, CT on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 10am-12pm.  A service will be held from 11:30am-12pm at the funeral home.

Walter will be laid to rest at 12pm, Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Connecticut Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT.  Our relatives and friends are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Walter's memory to a Veterans organization of your choice.
