Virginia A. Mennette, age 89, of Hopewell Junction, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in the Bronx, NY she was the daughter of the late John & Mary Falcone-Mennette.

Being a Grandma gave her such joy in her life. Her passion was being with her 5 grandchildren and great grandson.
She enjoyed traveling, playing golf and cooking. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, New York Times crossword puzzles, Bible study, Christian Music and helping children in third world countries through various charities.

Her career started as an insurance underwriter, followed by working as a Real Estate broker for 20 years, then part owner in a Wholesale Electronics company, and a law librarian until retirement.

Virginia is predeceased by her brother, Michael Mennette.

Virginia is survived by her children, Gerianne Gabrielle, Donna DiScala and husband Michael, Joseph DiSalvo and wife Jo Ann; her grandchildren, Natalie DiScala-Grillo and husband Richard, Jaclyn DiScala, Maria DiSalvo, Joseph DiSalvo, Michael DiScala, Jr.; and her great grandson Vincenzo Grillo.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 16, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church Street, Georgetown, CT 06829.
