Obituary

Vincent M. Gullotti, age 89, beloved husband of the late Marcella Smith Gullotti and a resident of Wilton Meadows, passed away on January 17, 2016 with his family at his side.  Vincent was born on November 9th, 1926 in the Bronx, New York, the son of Michael Gullotti and Elena Visalli. After moving from the Bronx at a young age, Vincent enjoyed his childhood growing up on his family's apple farm in Highland, New York. Vincent and his older sister, Katina, were raised by their loving parents and were constantly surrounded by the beauty of nature and laughter. After graduating high school, Mr. Gullotti enlisted in the United States Army Air Force during WWII.  Mr. Gullotti earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Degree, then went on to receive a Degree of Master of Science in Industrial Management from Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. Some years after college, Vincent Gullotti met his spouse and soul mate Marcella Gullotti, deceased, and married in the summer of 1961. Vincent had a career with AIL/Eaton Corporation of New York for over thirty years as a dedicated employee.  Vincent never failed to show his family the meaning of hard work and determination. Vincent and his wife, the loving parents of their three children, raised their family in East Northport, where Vincent loved coaching team sports for his children and taking day trips to the beach. As a native New Yorker he was a spirited and charismatic Yankee fan with a passionate love for the game. If there is one thing that his family knows is for sure, it is that the New York Yankee's  just gained themselves a new angel in the outfield. Surviving Mr. Gullotti are his children, Gregory Gullotti, Barbara Daversa and Vicky Gullotti, his beloved grandchildren, Nicole, Megan, Benjamin, Justine and Gabrielle, and his older sister Katina Chapski and nephew Michael Chapski. Vincent's love for life and perpetual kindness will be remembered and celebrated by his remaining family and friends.
