Thomas Bucky MD, age 96, of Redding, CT passed away at Meadow Ridge Health Center on October 23, 2015. Dr. Bucky was born in Berlin, Germany to Gustav Bucky and Frida Sarason Bucky on October 25, 1918. He graduated from Yale University and Yale Medical School. Dr. Bucky served in the Medical Corps during WWII obtaining the rank of Captain. Upon returning to the United States Dr. Bucky practiced internal medicine for over 50 years serving the Norwalk, Westport, Wilton and Weston areas, delivering many present day residents still living in this area. Dr. Bucky was known as a "country doctor" and well respected by both his patients and his colleagues in the medical field. Dr. Bucky is survived by his beloved wife Doris Bensen Bucky of Redding, his son Timothy Bucky and his daughter Jill Raymaley Bossert and her husband Scot. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Troy Bossert and his wife Nikki and Justin Bossert and his wife Patti. Also surviving him are his great-grandchildren, George Bossert, Helen Bossert, his nephew Peter Bucky whom he was very fond of, his niece Susan C. Bayley and her husband Carl and his niece Carol Conaway and her husband Raymond. In addition to his parents Dr. Bucky was predeceased by his brother, Peter Bucky.
