Ronald Richard Carlson passed away peacefully on December 9, 2020 in Fort Myers, Florida at the age of 79.
Ronnie is survived by his siblings; Walter (Arlene) Carlson of Newtown, CT and Susan (Mark) Wiston of Fort Pierce, FL, his children, Deborah Obman, of Terryville, CT, Christopher Carlson, of Old Greenwich, CT, granddaughter Nicole Obman, of Terryville, CT. He is predeceased by his eldest daughter Lori Carlson.
Ronnie was born on March 23, 1941 in Norwalk, CT to Walfred and Marie (Ebel) Carlson. He graduated from Henry Abbott Technical School in Danbury while residing in Georgetown. After moving to Wilton, Ronnie continued working for A&P as a Produce Manager, Georgetown, CT and the Village Market, Wilton, he also resided in New Milford prior to moving to Cape Coral, FL to enjoy his retirement.
Ronnie was a member of the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department. He was active in coaching Little League Baseball and Women's Softball for many years in Wilton. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an active and dedicated member of the New Milford Sportsman Club. He was an avid automobile enthusiast and spent many nights at the Sycamore Drive-in
Friends may greet the family on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church St. Georgetown with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Branchville Cemetery, Florida Rd, Ridgefield, CT. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ronnie's life.
