Obituary

Robert Louis Bardani, age 80, died on April 7, 2020 after a brief illness. Bob was born on January 13, 1940 in Norwalk, CT to the late Louis and Helen (Keyworth) Bardani. A standout baseball and basketball player at Norwalk High School, Bob went on to graduate from the University of Bridgeport (UB) in 1962 with a degree in mathematics. He served six years in the Connecticut National Guard before earning his MBA from UB in 1970 and embarking on a successful career in information technology.

Bob lived in Redding, CT for over 40 years where he and his beloved wife of 51 years, Patricia, raised their three children. He was a baseball coach at the Redding Boys and Girls Club in the 1980s and enjoyed many evenings and weekends there watching his kids play ball. Bob loved the outdoors and taking long walks on the bucolic back roads of Redding. He enjoyed a good book at the Mark Twain Library and had a genuine love for dogs. He was particularly fond of his seven grandchildren and, in his later years, enjoyed attending his grandson's youth baseball games and providing post-game analysis.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother, Louis Bardani, Jr. Bob is survived by his wife Patricia (Dolan), of Redding, CT, his son Rob and daughter-in-law Crissy of Hollis, NH, his son Bill and daughter-in-law Carolyn of Easton, CT and his daughter Laura Spaner and son-in-law Jon of McLean, VA. Bob leaves behind seven grandchildren who adored him.

The family would like to thank Kathy, Judy and all the staff at Ludlowe Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Fairfield, CT for the highly-professional and attentive care they provided during Bob's stay.

Due to the concerns at this time associated with social gatherings, all services and interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Easton Animal Shelter, 700 Morehouse Road, Easton CT 06612.
