Obituary

Paul Frucci, 75, of Redding, CT, died on Monday, January 5th from complications from hemolytic anemia related to long-in-remission Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Paul was born on June 7, 1950 in Norwood, MA to John and Josephine Frucci. He graduated from Xavier Brothers High School in 1968 then attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst for both his undergraduate degree and his MBA. He's survived by his wife Lindsay; his sons Adam (Jen), AJ (Emily), and Chris (Christy); his grandchildren Shea, Rosemary, Billie, and Finn; and his brothers Richard and Jack.

Paul worked in sales for a number of tech companies, including Henco, Epiphany, and Infor. He had his pilot's license and once co-owned a Cessna, was a racing instructor for the Porsche Club of America, completed multiple 100-mile bike rides, and was an expert downhill skier who taught his entire family. He was passionate about music, attending Woodstock in 1969 and early concerts by bands such as The Doobie Brothers, The Doors, and The Grateful Dead, as well as travelling the country to see the band New England play, which his best friend John fronted. He was also a die-hard Boston sports fan, especially of his beloved Patriots and Red Sox, rooting for them with equal fervor whether they were national laughingstocks or world champions. Above all else, he valued his families, both given and chosen. An expert cook in Italian-American cuisine and BBQ, nothing made him happier than spending all day fussing over an elaborate meal for those he loved. An ideal night ended laughing in front of a roaring fire surrounded by family and friends, preferably with a glass of cheap red wine in hand. He will be greatly missed.

Memorial donations in Paul's name can be directed to DH-H/The Prouty benefiting Dartmouth Cancer Center, where he was treated for leukemia and for which he raised money with his century rides. Gifts can be mailed to One Medical Center Drive (HB 7070), Lebanon, NH 03756.
