Patrick Francis McBrinn, 55, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Norwalk Hospital.

Patrick was born in Norwalk, on February 25,1969. to Susan Anderson McBrinn and the late Dermot (Derry) McBrinn. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Harold and Ellen Anderson, and Dermot and Emily McBrinn.

Survivors include his beloved siblings, Ellen McBrinn and Derry McBrinn, Chris Berghof and nieces and nephews, Coen, Grayson, Preston and Blaine Berghof, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pat graduated from Westport Public Schools. For many years, he was employed by Walmart, in Norwalk. He was a resident  of CLASP Group Homes. Briget Grifin of CLASP was a special person in Pat's life.

Pat loved to swim. He swam with friends in a weekly Recreation Program run by his dad, and competed in Special Olympics for many years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 30 Church Street, Redding, CT on Tuesday, September 10, at 10:30AM.  A reception will follow in the church hall.

Special thanks to the nurses and caregivers on the 7th floor of Norwalk Hospital for their care and compassion in Pat's final days.
