Obituary

Born in Port Washington, NY, and grew up in Brooklyn, NY, Patricia passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 8, 2022 at her Nursing Home in Yardley, PA.

Pat was the fifth of eight children of William Murdy and Mary Kiernan.  They were a very close-knit family who had lost both of their parents at very young ages.  The elder siblings raised the younger ones and kept the entire family together.

She is survived by her brother Roger Murdy of Danbury, CT, three sons, two daughter in-laws, Roger & Donna of Port Orange, FL, Glenn of Jonesborough, TN, Robert and Kathryn of Yardley, PA, eight grandchildren, Laura, Keith his spouse Nellyster, Robert John, his spouse Amy, Eric, Phillip, Kassandra, Ryan and Kevin Kandetzke and six great grandchildren, Robert Martin, Bella, Ava, Kaliah, Koah and Kiernan.  She was the loving aunt of 20 nieces and nephews from the Murdy clan.

In 1986 her devoted husband, Harold predeceased her after 36 years of marriage.  They had resided in Brooklyn, NY until 1977 when they moved to Holiday, FL.  They returned to College Point, NY in 1978.  They bought a home in Burlington, NJ in 1986 however Harold passed away before they ever moved in.  Patricia resided in the home in Burlington for 34 years with her Golden Retrievers and was a devoted member of Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church in Willingboro, NJ.

Family was everything to Patricia.  She was affectionately known as Nanny and Aunt Pat and never forgot a birthday of anyone in the family, including the grandchildren of her nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

She was a great entertainer and would sing at all the family gatherings and weddings.  Her favorite songs were by Judy Garland.  She kept records of the entire family's birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and special events.  She had photo albums that dated back over 100 years and loved sharing the information with family when they visited with her.  She will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her.
