Obituary

Mary Ann Minter (née Kuritz), age 79, of Redding passed away at her home on Friday, July 16, 2021.

Born in The Bronx, NY on September 5, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Kuritz and Anna Bachkovsky Kuritz. She studied at St Vincent's College in Riverdale, NY. Before her retirement she worked at PHH in Wilton, CT as the Director of Human Resources Eastern Region. Mary Ann was predeceased by her loving husband Harry Quackenboss Minter.  She was an avid painter and was involved in many art groups and classes in the Redding community, where she lived for 44 years.

Mary Ann is survived by her sister Irene Kuritz Scott (husband John), nieces Jennifer Rolston (husband Brian) ,Elizabeth Minter, nephews John, James and Joseph (wife Kristina), cousins Michael Bachovsky, Mickey Bush, Charlotte Bush, Lou Smutney, Sarah Q. French, Emily A. French and Catherine Q. French (God-daughter), friends Judy and Frank Borysievicz, several great nieces and nephews, her local art community, and many friends and family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church, 30 Church St., Georgetown. Interment will follow at Ridge Cemetery in Redding.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Connecticut Humane Society www.cthumane.org or to Sacred Heart Church in Georgetown, CT.
