Lance Charles Griswold, 75, longtime resident of Darien, CT, passed away on August 9, 2026. An Eagle Scout and college athlete in his youth, Lance continued to swim, golf, and walk in nature throughout his life as often as he could. He was a decades-long member of Wee Burn Country Club and greatly enjoyed walking the golf course year round.

Lance began his career at Chase Bank before moving to Citigroup, where he was sponsored to attend Columbia University's Executive MBA Program. After 32 years, Lance retired from Citigroup with the title of Managing Director.His family will remember his good humor, warm nature, and generous support. 

He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Ann Zech Griswold, of Redding, CT; as well as his daughter, Katherine Griswold Reth, of Ridgefield, CT, son-in-law, and three grandchildren, who meant the world to him.
