Obituary

Keith Eric Anderson, born December 6, 1960, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2026. He lived a quiet and peaceful life marked by talent, dedication, and a kind, loving heart. Raised in Fairfield, Connecticut, Keith spent the last 35+ years in West Redding, where he formed deep ties to the community and built a life grounded in the things he loved most—nature, music, animals, and the simple comfort of home.

Music was a steady thread throughout Keith's life. He was an accomplished bass guitarist and regularly jammed with friends, finding real joy in the camaraderie and connection that music brings. Keith had a deep love for the Blues, as well as jazz and southern rock, and his passion for music was as genuine as it was enduring.

Professionally, Keith built and ran a successful landscaping business. He was known for his meticulous attention to detail and for taking pride in doing things "the right way." Clients trusted him not only for the quality of his work, but for his dependability and care—Keith brought quiet excellence to everything he touched, and people appreciated that they could count on him.

Keith's love of the outdoors, plants, and nature was more than a preference—it was part of who he was, reflected both in his work and in how he chose to spend his time. He also had a special love for animals, especially cats, and took real joy in caring for them.

A lifelong reader, Keith especially loved westerns, and Larry McMurtry was his favorite author. In many ways, that suited him—Keith valued authenticity, character, and a life well lived.

Above all, Keith will be remembered for his gentle spirit: a man who lived peacefully, loved deeply, and was a loyal friend to those lucky enough to be in his orbit. He leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength, craftsmanship, and heartfelt connection that will be missed more than words can say.

Keith is survived by his sisters, Lynne Noone of Port Orchard, Washington, and Erika Psacharopoulos of Potomac, Maryland; his brother, Doug Anderson of Cranston, Rhode Island; and eight nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Geraldine Anderson of Cranston, Rhode Island, and his father, Arthur Anderson of Fairfield, Connecticut.

A private memorial service will be held with family.
