Jose Joaquin Bernal age 85 of Waterbury CT, the beloved husband of Margarita Bernal passed away on March 8, 2016 in Norwalk Hospital. Mr. Bernal was born on November 12, 1930 in Colombia, South America to Javier Bernal and Maria Gonzalez.
In addition to his wife, Margarita, he is survived by his daughter Margarita Blessing and her husband David and his son Juan Jose Bernal. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Caroline Blessing, Sofia Blessing and Lily Blessing. Jose is also survived by his two sisters, Beatriz Bernal and Anna Maria Bernal. He was predeceased by his sisters, Rosa Bernal, Elvia Bernal and Lilia Rodriguez.
Funeral Services for Mr. José Bernal will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 19, 2016 in the Wilton Presbyterian Church, 48 New Canaan Road Wilton CT. Interment will take place immediately after the funeral service in the adjacent Memorial Garden. A reception will follow in the church parish hall until 5:00 pm. Afterwards, the family will be available at their Wilton home to receive anybody who is unable to attend earlier in the day but still wishes to pay their respects.
