John Eugene Hickey Jr., age 77, of Old Lyme, CT died Tuesday evening. Born August 4, 1935 in New York City, he was the son of the late John Eugene Hickey Sr. and Kathryn Hennessey Hickey. John was a graduate of Fordham Preparatory School and Fordham University. He worked as an advertising executive in Manhatten for many years with the Saturday Evening Post, 3M Media Networks, and for Conde Naste, where he was the Advertising Director of Brides Magazine. He enjoyed boating and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna Hickey; along with his four children, Stephen (Irma) Hickey of Fairfield, CT, JoAnna Grainger of Poughquag, NY, David (Kelley) Hickey of New Orleans, LA, and Laura (Marc) Michaud of New Orleans, LA; six grandchildren, Samantha Hickey, Kevin Hickey, Jessica Grainger, Robert John Grainger, Madeleine Michaud and Charles Michaud; and sister Marilyn Rotella of Ocala, FL. Visiting hours are Sunday from 4-8pm at Bouton Funeral Home in Georgetown, CT. Funeral mass Monday 10am at Sacred Heart Church Georgetown, CT. Burial will be private.
