John DeCicco died peacefully in his home on the morning of Friday, October 18, 2019. Born on May 31, 1938, John was t he oldest son of Mary and Anthony DeCicco and was raised in South Orange, New Jersey. He lived for a number of years in Greenwich before moving to Wilton in 1991. He is survived by his partner, Gerard Mulligan, of over thirty years ; his beloved sister, Marie DeCicco of East Hanover, New Jersey; his nieces Carolyn Fritzinger and Wendy Angelone ; his great niece Jennifer Campbell , his great nephew Joey Fritzinger and his lifelong friend, Richard Greco. John was predeceased by beloved sister Jenny and his younger brother James DeCicco . John graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in business administration and went on to receives his Masters. He began his professional life as an accountant but decided to go into education and taught school in Newark, New Jersey for over 22 years. Throughout that time, John also followed his true passion as a real estate broker in New Jersey, the Hamptons in Long Island and in Greenwich, CT. John also pursued his life long passion for collecting antiques and filled his homes with Chinese and Japanese porcelain . A consummate entrepreneur, John opened an antique and consignment shop in Ridgefield, CT and later moved his shop to Wilton Center. A private service for John's family and close friends is being held for John in the antique home overlooking the reservoir that he loved.
