Joanna Berkowitz, 69, passed away Sunday, November 15 at her home.  Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the beloved daughter of the late Valentino and Tina Terlizzi.  Joanna grew up in Clifton, NJ and lived there for many years before moving to Colorado, North Carolina, and finally settling in several towns in Connecticut in the late 1980s.

Joanna earned  a degree from The Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan in 1972 and was a successful fashion designer in NYC for several years.  She left that industry behind when she moved to Colorado.  Beginning in the early 1990s, Joanna was an estate manager and personal assistant for several influential individuals and families.

Her spiritual callings were an important part of most of her life and Joanna devoted much of her free time to them.  She was an active member of The Anthroposophical Society of America, the Recording Secretary of The Foundation for Rudolph Steiner Books, an Assistant Editor for LILIPOH Publishing, a participant in the Chestnut Ridge Fellowship Community, among several other connections with other organizations.

Joanna is survived by her loving brother Bob Terlizzi and his wife Karen.  No service was held due to the current restrictive conditions. A celebration of her life will be held in the future.
