Joan Mcintosh's Obituary
Joan Howe McIntosh, 88, died November 20, 2021 in Leesburg, Virginia.
Born January 28, 1933 in Brookline, MA, she attended Emma Willard and Dana Hall schools, and Michigan State University.
She married Peter McIntosh in 1953, and they settled in Weston, CT until 1974 and then in Redding, CT. They enjoyed 45 years of marriage until his death from ALS in 1998.
They had four sons, and she was a wonderful mother, loving wife, and accomplished equestrienne.
She is survived by her four sons, Duncan (Sheri) of Tarzana, CA, Alan (Khristie) of Purcellville, VA, Keith of Santa Fe, NM, and Bruce (Michelle) of Arroyo Hondo, NM, four grandchildren, and her sister Rosemary McCracken of Boston, MA. She is predeceased by her parents John and Jesse Howe, and her brother Jeff Howe.
