Obituary

Gianvincenzo Marsili of Wilridge Road, Ridgefield, CT died on Friday, July 10 th at his home. He was 89 years old. A native of the village of Pietranico, Providence of Pescara, Italy. Mr. Marsili was born on July 10, 1931 the son of Fidio and Anna Marsili of Pietranico, Pescara. He came to this country in 1960 and married Filomena DeLuca and settled in the Branchville section of Ridgefield. He worked for 28 years at Gilbert and Bennett Wiremill in Georgetown, CT. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and landscaping. His greatest love was his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Marsili is survived by his son, Albert Marsili and his wife Lisa of Ridgefield, his daughter, Anna Boccuzzi and her husband Sam of Darien, and Gino Marsili and his wife Robin of St. Simons Island, GA. Six grandchildren, Jon Marsili, Ryan Marsili, Nathan Marsili, Sam Boccuzzi Jr., Julia Boccuzzi and Vincent Marsili. Mr. Marsili was also blessed with five great granddaughters, Filomena (4), Maria (3), Jacinta (1), Sophia (1) and Bernadette (5 months). His three brothers, Eugenio, Guiseppe and Antonio Marsili and two sisters, Italia Epifano and Maria Marsili of Italy. Also surviving is his sisters-in-law Anna DeLuca of Redding, Natalie DeLuca of Bethel, brother-in-law Antonio DeLuca and his wife Mirella of Bethel, and brother-in-law Guiliano DeLuca and his wife Mary of Ridgefield, as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Marsili is predeceased by his wife Filomena, his parents, his sister Gina and brother Angelo Marsili.

The wake services will be held on Tuesday, July 14 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bouton Funeral Home, 31 W. Church Street, Wilton, CT. Social distancing and masks are required. Burial will be on Wednesday, July 15 at 10 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery, 352 Main Street, New Canaan, CT.
