George Sherwood Quigley, age 66 of Danbury passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 4, 2018 in Bethel. Born in Norwalk on October 9, 1951 he was the son of the late Sherwood and Katherine Vasale Quigley. George was a 1969 graduate of Wilton High School and then attended the University of Bridgeport. He was the owner of G & M Landscaping along with his son Mark. He had also worked for many years at Wilson Hardware and Knapp Tree, Inc. in Wilton. He enjoyed playing softball, flag football, watching sports and attending his son's hockey games. He is survived by his son Mark Quigley and his wife Christine of Danbury as well as many friends, co-workers and customers. He will be sorely missed by his dog, Mack. The hours of visitation will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:30 pm at the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 W. Church St., Georgetown, CT. Funeral services will follow at 5:30 pm at the funeral home officiated by Father Reggie Norman. Private interment will take place in the spring at Bald Hill Cemetery.
