George A. Cakavell of Pound Ridge, NY died peacefully on February 3, 2016 at Northern Westchester Hospital at the age of 91.  He was predeceased by his first wife Elsie Lotte Cakavell and his second wife, Doris Cakavell.  He is survived by his son Francis Dieter Cakavell and his companion Richard C. Miles of Ridgefield, CT.  He is also survived by his sister Cecelia Evanchik of Stamford, CT and his brother Francis A. Cakavell of New Orleans and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his former son-in-law Robert Wray and his sons Robert and Christopher.  George served in the US Army in WWII.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 7, 2016 in St. Peters Lutheran Church, 208 Newtown Avenue, Norwalk, CT.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:00 am in St. Peters Lutheran Church, 208  Newtown Avenue, Norwalk, CT.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family  in Woodland Cemetery, Stamford, CT.
