On Tuesday, May 11, 2021 Frederick V. Miller, Sr.  passed away peacefully at his Redding home, at the age of 93. Capt. Frederick "Moose" Miller Sr. of the Norwalk Police Department (Ret) was a native of Norwalk, Connecticut.  Moose lived a rich, full life and will be remembered as the loving patriarch of his family, a man who loved God and Country.

He is predeceased by his wife, Carol Soderstrom Miller, and a son, Robert M. Miller.

He is survived by his children: daughter Elise and son-in-law Richard Mack of Fallbrook, CA, his son Frederick "Rick" Miller, Jr. and daughter-in-law Sharon of Redding, his daughters Sue-Ellen Miller, Sarah Mawson and Laura Lanehart also of Redding, his son Matthew Miller and daughter-in-law Melanie of Cookeville, TN. He is also survived by his much loved grandchildren and their spouses:  Seana and Steven Bedard, Robert and Jennifer Miller, Sara and Steven Parenti, Frederick "Eric" Miller, III, Adam Lanehart and daughter-in-law Megan, and Hannah Miller as well as eight cherished and adored great-grandchildren, William, Anneliese, Lia, Aubrey, Emerson, Aria, Mackenzie and Peyton.
