Obituary

Frank J. Eustace died peacefully on April 30 th in Wilton, CT.  He was 87.

Born in Philadelphia, he graduated from Joe's Prep and St. Joseph's University with a business degree.  He met his future wife Margaret Yeager at a nursing school dance before serving in the Army in Alaska during the Korean War.  They raised a family in Fanwood, NJ and New Canaan CT, and later moved to Basking Ridge, NJ.  He had a soft spot for Stone Harbor, NJ, where three generations gathered for summer vacations.  His kindness, generosity, and quirky sense of humor will be missed.

His began an insurance career at State Farm and INA, and transitioned to reinsurance Liability Treaty Underwriting.  He worked for National Reinsurance in New York, and later American Independent Reinsurance and Prudential.  Ever the consummate gentleman with impeccable manners, he was more at ease in a jacket and tie than jeans, which he considered suitable only for yard work.  In retirement he enjoyed Broadway musicals and Ridgefield Men's Club activities. He put his gregarious nature to good use as a Rides for Ridgefield volunteer, shuttling seniors to local medical appointments.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Margaret, as well as three siblings, Marianne, William, and Paul.  Survivors include siblings Chris and James, daughter, Margaret and her husband Andre Lerchi, as well as son Paul and his wife Laura Naclerio, and beloved grandchildren: Kelly and Eric Eustace and Patrick and Clara Lerchi.

The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by the staff at The Greens at Cannondale and the RVNA.
