Obituary

Florence Mary Vaughn of West Redding, CT died peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 30, 2016.  Florence was 77 years old.

Born in Danbury on April 30, 1938, Florence was the daughter of the late Helen and Paul Vaughn of West Redding. Florence is survived by her brothers Walter Vaughn of Fairfield, Calif., John Vaughn of Danbury, Eugene Vaughn of West Redding, her niece Karen Vaughn, and two grand-nieces and one grand-nephew: Marisol, Koldo and Michonne of Danbury, Florence was preceded in death by her brothers James Vaughn of West Redding and Paul Vaughn of Kent.

Well-known in the Church Community, Florence spent countless hours at the Adoration Chapel at St Mary's Church in Ridgefield CT.  Florence was selfless: she lived her life "practicing random acts of kindness" each and every day whether in listening, encouraging, supporting, doing, caring, or giving.  Florence touched many lives wherever she went – very often it was those she knew the least, who she touched the most.  Florence will be deeply missed and never forgotten by many to whom she was friend, surrogate Mother, God-Mother.
