Florence H Newell, 82, died at home in Canaan, Connecticut on January 11, 2021. Florence past away after a long battle with cancer. She was known by many different names; Snookie, Flo, Florence, Mom, Granny, Gram, Grandma and many more. Florence grew up and lived in Ridgefield, Connecticut for many years until she moved in 2003. Florence was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was married to the late Charles W. Newell Jr for 43 years before his passing in 1999. Florence enjoyed spending time with her family, crafting, camping, playing cards, scrabble and many more games. She loved to bake, and cook for her friends and family. Florence is survived by her 3 children Cindy, Marty, Richard, granddaughter Tammy, as well as many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Celebration of life/ services will be held at a later date to be determined in the springtime at the family home in Canaan, Connecticut.
