Edward E. Huggins Jr., age 91, of Weston, passed away at the V.A. Hospital in West Haven on Wednesday, December 5, 2024 after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Priscilla (Plunkett) Huggins for 64 years. They were such an example of true love and were such an inspiration for their children.

Born in New Haven on March 15, 1933 he was a son of the late Edward Sr. and Inez Singleton Huggins.

He was very proud of his military service in the Army Airborne. He will be remembered for being an upstanding citizen and loving husband and father. He taught his children to follow their hearts and dreams, but also use our head. He was stoic and when he spoke, people listened.  He embodied strength and kindness

He will be remembered for his love of smooth jazz that would echo from every speaker he had. His love of sweets is legendary. Please think of him as you come across a yellow cake with chocolate frosting as this was his favorite.

He touched so many lives in so many ways...He was a good man and will be remembered that way.

He is survived by his wife Priscilla, his children, Del, Senta & Jenna and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. We imagine him celebrating his friends and family that have passed on before him.
