Dorothy Moxley O'Connell age 96, passed away 12/06/2016 while residing at Calvert Manor Nursing Home in Rising Sun, Maryland. Born 03/13/1920 in Johnson City, Tennessee, she moved to New Canaan, Ct. in 1936 and lived there until 2002 when she moved to Maryland with her husband to live with her son and daughter-in-law.  She attended school in New Canaan; Ct. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She liked to buy and sell antiques and memorabilia as a hobby. She was also an avid book reader and enjoyed creating new recipes. She is predeceased by her mother Merle Moxley, her father Henry E. Moxley, her Brother H. Edward Moxley and her husband of 69 years James O'Connell. She leaves behind her daughter Nance J Sherwood of Waxhaw, NC and her son Edward J. O'Connell of Fair Hill, Maryland. She also leaves 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Interment will take place on Tuesday December 13, 2016 at 11:00 am in Lakeview Cemetery, 352 Main Street, New Canaan, CT 06840. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 12, 2016 during the hours of 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 Church Street, Wilton. Connecticut. 06897
