Doris Ruth (Dunnigan) Lanehart passed away peacefully on January 1, 2021. She was 92 years old.
Doris was born on August 26, 1928, in Westport, CT. Doris graduated from Staples High School. She married her soulmate, Robert Gordon Lanehart in 1950. Together they raised six beautiful children and resided in Georgetown for many years. Doris, a devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Georgetown, could be heard singing passionately every Sunday at eleven o'clock mass from the church choir loft with her angelic soprano voice.
Doris is predeceased by her brother Edward, her son Jeffrey and her husband Robert. She is survived by her five remaining children: David, Bruce, Nancy, Jill and Patricia, as well as eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
