Doris Bucky, age 93, of Redding , CT passed away at Norwalk Hospital on November 5, 2015. Before taking residence in Meadow Ridge, Doris and her husband the late Dr. Thomas Bucky, were long time residents of Weston, CT. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Frederick and Florence Bensen on September 8, 1922. Doris graduated from Wagner College (1944) and also attended Columbia University, NYU and the University of London (M.A.) . She taught English in Middletown, NY and Westport, CT. Doris was a constant friend and companion to her dear husband, Dr. Thomas Bucky, who preceded her in death by only thirteen days. Doris is survived by her daughter Jill and her husband Scot Bossert, grandson Troy and his wife Nikki Bossert, her grandson Justin and his wife Patti Bossert, her great-grandchildren, George Bossert and Helen Bossert. She is also survived by two nieces, Susan Bayley and her husband Carl Dean and Carol and her husband Raymond Conaway. She is also survived by her husband Tom's nephew, Peter Bucky. At the family's request, all services are private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 W. Church Street, Georgetown, CT 06829.
