Daniel Kelley, 61, of Danbury passed away on April 24, 2018 after an extended illness. He was the loving husband of Pamela (Brelling) Kelley.
Dan was born in White Plains, New York on August 24, 1956, son of the late Carol Kelley of Ridgefield and the late David T. Kelley of Southern Pines, North Carolina. Dan spent over 35 years as an owner/operator of his trucking business in the Danbury area before his retirement in 2012. He was a life-long musician and entertained as a lead singer in local bands. He will be remembered for his love of family, friends, music and his compassion for animals.
Dan will be sadly missed by his brother, Thomas Kelley and wife Kathryn Kelley of Ridgefield and brother-in-law Ron Brelling and his wife Katie of Bethel. He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews Ryan Brelling of Somerville, Massachusetts, Kyle and Erin Brelling of Bethel, Laura Kelley and her fiancé Kevin Schroeder of Methuen Massachusetts, TJ and Shannen McCarthy Kelley of Greenwich, Lauren and Brian White and their daughter Carmella of Waterbury, and Justin Brelling of New Milford along with many friends and extended family. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Mary (Nancy) Homerston Brelling, his father-in-law Edward Brelling, sister-in-law Susan Brelling and brothers-in-law James Brelling, Glen Brelling and Donald Brelling.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 1:00 at the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church Street Georgetown CT 06829. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family.
