Charles James Holloman, age 94, of Redding passed away peacefully on November 23, 2020.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 4, 1926, he was the son of the late Howell and Pauline Abrahm Holloman. He earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from University of California Berkeley and an additional engineering degree from University of Oregon. After college he served in the Army during World War II.  His passion for engineering eventually moved him from California to Connecticut where he worked for Trans-Lux Corporation from 1965 until his retirement in 1995. Most notable in his work are the 7 patent applications with all 7 being issued.  In his early days, Charles enjoyed spending his weekends on Sports Car Rallies.

Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brothers Howell & William and is survived by his two daughters Allison Sheehan (Anthony) and Stacy Connors (George), and his 5 grandchildren: William, Kristen, Sara, Kieran and Chloe.  Charles also has several nieces and nephews
