Cecilia Jordan, age 98, of Wilton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Brookdale Senior Living in Wilton. She was the widow of William Thomas Jordan. Cecilia was a resident of Norwalk for over 70 years and would have celebrated her 99th birthday on March 18, 2021.

Born in Island Falls, Maine to Albert and Edith (Sirois) Portwine, at age 5, Cecilia moved with her family to New Canaan, CT. where she graduated from New Canaan High School and met her husband of 66 years, William (Bill) Jordan. Together along with their son Donald, daughter Colleen, and grandson Kevin, ran Howard B. Toms Tree Surgery until his death in 2007.

Cecilia was known for her lovely smile, beautiful singing voice, love of music, wonderful home cooked meals, and sense of humor. Favorite travels include family trips to Maine and the Carolinas and in later years, trips to Las Vegas with her husband. Cecilia was a loving wife, adored mother and doting grandmother who leaves cherished memories to those left behind.

Cecilia is survived by her daughters, Colleen (Gary) Wacha of Lewisboro, NY, Patricia (Brian) White of Apex, NC, 7 grandchildren, Kevin (Janice) Jordan, Renee (Bob) Torre, Samantha Jordan, Emily (Rorke) Greene, Elizabeth Profeta, Brooke (Trevor) Preston, Erik Wacha and 8 great grandchildren: Ashley and Brandon Jordan, Mason Yates, Bridget and Shepard Greene, Lewis Profeta, and Tyler and Neil Preston. In addition to her husband and parents Cecilia was predeceased by her son, William Donald Jordan.

At this time all services are being held privately and a graveside service and celebration of her life to be announced at a later date.
