Barbara Benisch, 87 of Forest Hills, NY, passed away peacefully at Norwalk Hospital March 28, 2016 following a month long battle with pneumonia. She was born in Brooklyn Hospital on April 21, 1928, daughter of the late Catharine E. Benisch and Henry J. Benisch. Barbara was a life-long resident of Forest Hills, NY. She was a graduate of Miss Beard's School for Girls, Class of 1945 and Cornell University, Class of 1949 and the President of her sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma. Barbara was an active member of the West Side Tennis Club, the Church-in-the-Gardens and the Women's Club of Forest Hills and also worked part-time for Benisch Brothers Monuments & Memorials, Brooklyn, NY, a 4 ^th Generation Family Business.

She is survived by her loving family of her sister Margaret A. Anderson, Weston, CT and the late Carleton J. Anderson, Jr.; her nephews Jay Anderson & family, Alexandria, VA; John Anderson & family, Hopkinton, MA; Bill Anderson & family, Chula Vista, CA and her niece Lyn (Anderson) Kimberly & family, Weston, CT.

A memorial service and celebration of Barbara's life will take place at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 285 Lyons Plain Road, Weston, CT on Saturday, April 23 ^rd at 11:00 a.m.
