Arthur Eugene Smith Sr. of Danbury, CT passed away suddenly on April 2, 2019 at the age of 66. Arthur was born in Norwalk, CT on April 7, 1952. He relocated to New Smyrna Beach Florida as a child where he met his wife Alice and raised his family, before returning to CT in 1990.

Arthur (Art) was an extremely dedicated, hardworking and loyal man. He worked at Blake Equipment in Danbury for the past 10 years. He also worked at the Danbury Fair Mall in security from 2008 until 2018. His incredible work ethic set the benchmark very high for those around him. All who knew him will sorely miss his infectious smile and charismatic soul.

He was a loyal and selfless friend and family man who always put the needs of others before his own. Working two full time jobs left him with very little spare time, yet he was always the first to volunteer to help his family and friends. When he did find leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, billiards and the company of his family, friends and two dogs, Sissy and Oreo.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Alice Smith, and five children; Alicia Lewis of Edgewater FL, her husband Joseph and son Joshua, Patricia Pring of Danbury CT her husband Jerry and son Phoenix, Arthur E Smith Jr of Woodbury, CT, his wife Susan and children Alyssa and Corey, Robert Smith Sr. of Londonderry, NH, his wife Amy and children Alexus, Robert Jr. and Colin, and Brandy Morin of Wilton, CT, her husband André and children Madison and Zachary. His great-grandchildren Brenna and Audrey also survive him.
