Obituary

Amanda Lindsay Field Piper was a beautiful, intelligent, loving, generous, giving, and empathetic woman who, in her school years at Weston High School, was a Connecticut state champion swimmer and a track and field star.  As a university graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, with two degrees and certification, she went on to be a talented graphic designer and photographer.

Amanda was always an incredible and loving daughter to Thom and Anita, sister to Chris, and dedicated friend to many.  She was loving wife to her husband, Heath, and devoted mother to their son, Gunner, with whom she shared Gabriel, the Husky dog and Figaro and Shadow-Jet their cats .

She suffered physically from failed back surgery and poor medical care before finding a wonderful doctor and supportive medical personnel, but her great and loving heart just bore too great a burden and we lost her too soon; but we know she is where we hope to be, in God's loving care.

As a multi-organ donor, she will now live in others, whose lives may have been locked, but for whom Amanda will now be the key.

Contributions in Amanda's name can be made to either St. Jude's Ranch for Children or 4Ocean.
