Adelaide Burks Brady of Brooklyn, New York passed away peacefully in Westport, Connecticut on July 24, 2025, with her family by her side. She is survived by her son James, her granddaughters Courtney and Ashley, and her daughter-in-law Terri.

Adelaide was a woman of many talents. She was an equestrian, a competitive swimmer, a keynote speaker, a writer, event planner, and photographer. She was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and frequently was asked to entertain.

Her corporate career was in Advertising, Public Relations, and Film Production. She directed and worked on programs for three First Ladies - Mrs. Pat Nixon, Mrs. Betty Ford, and Mrs. Lady Bird Johnson. She also had many other White House assignments.

Adelaide lived her life to the fullest. She travelled the world for business and pleasure. Domestically, she was proud to have visited all the states in our vast country. She also travelled to 33 countries throughout the world, including Antarctica.

Animals were her passion, and she did a great deal to support their needs both personally and financially. Adelaide also generously gave her time and resources to help the elderly, give nursing scholarships, and support the environment.

She was a kind friend and always available to lend a helping hand and open heart to help those in need. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
